Can anyone tell me why my cakes or damp after they are baked and cool? The top feels damp. Could it be my oven? If anyone has any idea I would really appreciate some help.

Do you sit the cakes on the cooling rack "upside down"? (with the 'top' of the cake actually on the bottom). Or is the cake sitting right side up?
