I am doing a 3 layer cake tomorrow. Supplies were purchased by the bride and just dropped off. I have the 9" grecian pillars and the cakes are going to be at least 4" high when assembled. Instead of the Wilton separator plates I use for the pillars I have been supplied with plate glass plates therefore no supports for the pillars. The cake and glass is going to be quite heavy. Do you think it will hold up? Any suggestions for reinforcing?
