I am doing a train cake for my 2 year old grandson next week. I want to do a train station with it but am not sure how to tackle the brick wall look. What is the best way to do a brick wall, BC, fondant, or air brush? How do I do it? TIA icon_biggrin.gif

visit the polymer clay aisle and look for a brick texture mat similar to this:

Geoff on Ace of Cakes has used these to do bricks on cakes.

(remember -- you're there for JUST the brick one -- leave the others behind -- for now! icon_rolleyes.gif)

can also use a ruler and that little rolling wheel for marking fondant (but OY that's going to take time!)

I was hoping you were still on the board, I knew you would be able to help me. Darn I was hoping to look, but if I look I'll buy so I'll stick to only looking for the brick mat... icon_cry.gif How did you know? icon_smile.gif Thanks so much Doug! icon_biggrin.gif

Didn't think of doing my own, but then yes... like you, I would just buy one. Thanks for all of the info and links Doug, shopping I will go. icon_smile.gif
