Trouble With Fondant

I have very limited knowledge of working with fondant and a friend of the family wants me to help her make her own wedding cake. The problem is she is doing a tiered 16", 12" 8".
I can cover the 8" no problem, but when it comes to the 12 & 16 I have no idea how to roll out that much or pick it up to put on the cake. Please help~ icon_redface.gif
