So i've only made two cakes using fondant. And i've heard that it gets a little hard? Is this normal? And if its not, what should I do to keep it soft when the cake is being eaten?

Thank you,
Kate

Well yes, it does form a crust. It doesn't get super hard like gumpaste unless you leave a fondant covered cake for weeks. Try Fondarific because I don't think it dries hard (correct me if I am wrong).

Okay perfect. Thats what they said it was a little hard not bad enough you couldn't eat it. I just wanted to make sure I did it right. Thank you! I will try that other stuff too.
