I haven't made modeling chocolate but I will soon to do a cake, so I was wondering, how soon after you make it can you start using it? And what is modeling chocolate's shelf life?
after you make the clay, pour it onto saran wrap, then wrap it very well, and stick it in your fridge for 24 hours before using to age it.
i store mine in the fridge for several months without problem and i suspect it can be done for longer, but i am not sure. i think toba garrett said 6 months in one of her books, but i can't say with 100% certainty. my memory has been shot to heck by motherhood
