Our local community has had their share of tragedy this past week. 1 man shot his ex-wife, then himself, left 4 kids with out any parents.

Anyway several people are having a benefit for the mother, and I was asked to donate a cake to help pay for the funeral expense. I was more than willing to help out.

But any ideas on what kind of cake to do ? I am stumped on a design. I want to do something that would hopefully bring in a decent amount.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks, Lisa

I would probably stick with something very motherly looking...sugarpaste flowers, etc.

Just got a email from the lady asking for a donation, she said the mother was into Harley's and loved pink. Not exactly what I had in mind,, but it is going to the benefit dance and auction, not to the funeral, so it won't be too bad.

Now can anyone help out with something pink and about Harley's ?

I the cake being auctioned/sold? While the mother might have been into Harleys, there might be less of a market for the Harley theme than just a pink themed cake. It might be easier for you, too. Just a thought.
