I use powdered sugar to roll out my fondant and keep it from sticking. I haven't really found the right way to get all the sugar off, though. Any suggestions on how to clean off my fondant decorations so they don't look ashy?

Hi, you can use a big brush to take the powdered sugar off. Then rub a tiny amount of shortening with a kitchen towel on the cake. It will give a nice shine to the cake as well. icon_smile.gif

You can also airbrush vodka on it...

Rub shortening and wipe it with a paper towel.
