Mint Flavored Buttercream?

In order to get a mint flavored buttercream would I just substitute mint extract for the vanilla in my buttercream recipe? If not, does someone have a recipe for mint buttercream that DOES crust? Thank you in advance.

yep that's what i would do, substitute the mint in place of vanilla

Use less mint than you would vanilla though, it's much stronger.

i love to make chocolate buttercream and add just a hint of mint and people love it (yeah!).

Do it every Christmas...color it red or green and ice chocolate cake. Ditto the light hand with the flavoring....
