Is it possible to make sugarshack's buttercream with no air pockets if you don't have a kitchen aid?? Everytime I make it (not in a kitchen aid) it is airy and bubbly.

You should be able to make it in any type of mixer. The key is making sure that your paddle is covered with your mixture. If you paddle is not submerged in the icing it will draw air in... HTH....

Sharon Z. Buttercream DVD talks more about this.....
