I am so fascinated by the cake challenges on the Food Network!! I was planning on attending the Art Institute, but I could not afford the tuition. How do I go about learning the art of cake decorating? I am a pretty fast learner. Making flowers, etc., seems so daunting to me, but they are so beautiful. Any help you gals give me, will be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!!

I have learnt everything i know so far just from some books but mostly the internet and here at CC.

However if you want some classes try looking for maybe wilton classes near you or maybe some local cake decorating shops/supplier shops might have some cake decorating classes. Also sometimes tafe's have short courses going you might want to look near you.

i would go with the wilton classes to start off, as well.
also, just an fyi: i did attend the art institute of ca (orange county) and trust me, if you're only interested in cake decorating, the tuition isn't worth it!!
