I need to make a person for a cake. I have never done this before. I have heard of both modeling chocolate and gumpast being used to make people, but I wanted to know what would be better? is there any instructions anyone can give me?

I love working with gumpaste! I've never used the modeling chocolate so I can't help you with that. There is a CC member that does some unbelievable work with gumpaste and people - her user name is aine2 - look her up on the member list and take a look at her photos - she's awesome. She has her own website which is listed on her member list page and she also gives free tutorials (you can find those links on her webpage). She's very nice about responding to questions too. I hope this helps you - gumpaste rules!!! thumbs_up.gif

Hi there, I also like working with gumaspte and maybe 50/50 mix of gumpaste and fondant.

And I can't agree more with BJ about aine2. She is the best!!! icon_biggrin.gifthumbs_up.gif
