They're quite easy... i don't even use a cutter. I have my centers ready and dry. Roll the gumpaste very thin. Cut it in sort of an elongated teardrop shape with an exaggerated point. Thin the edges with a ball tool. Wrap it around the center forming the trumpet shape, being careful not to press on it too much (I find it best to assemble upside-down. Lightly adjust the edges to give them the slight curl back (I even use a skewer to add a slight curl to the "tail"). Then hang it upside down by it's wire until dry and finish with the appropriate dusts.
