hi, need a strawberry filling recipe. this will be used with a basic yellow cake recipe for a wedding w/ buttercream..any ideas? I have fresh, frozen strawberries on hand. thanks all.

I use this with fresh srawberries. Its a strawberrie gaze that you pour over the fresh or frazen strawberries. Half Receipe: 3/4 cup Sugar, 3/4 cup water, 1Tbsp cornstarch, 1/2 pkg strawberry jello. Add a few drops of red food coloring after cooking. bring the first three ingredients to a boil. remove from heat. when the cloudiness turns clear add the jello and red food coloring. stir until desolved. a half recipe is good for one cake layer. as a cake filling pipe a damn around cake. layer in sliced strawberries and cover with as much glaze as needed. using a star tip pipe frosting around the sides of the cake. this glaze is also great as a cheese cake topping. i hope this works for you, its a big hit every time i make it.
