i cant get pictres to come up in the gallery...when i click on a picture to get a close up of the cake ...nothing...help

Same here can't see any pictures except for the gallery, no pictures in posts, not close ups, no pictures in the search function - its not only you! But can't offer any reason as to why as I've not had problems before, I assume its to do with the site and not our computers, we will just have to sit and wait it out I think, they'll fix it soon I expect!
