I'm moving to Germany in six weeks and they don't have the same cake mixes there. I thought I'd try out this homemade cake mix recipe: http://tammysrecipes.com/homemade_deluxe_chocolate_cake_mix

I'm using it in Earlene's Kahlua Fudge Cake:
http://www.earlenescakes.com/recipes.htm

I just mixed it up and it's 29 ounces instead of the standard 18.25 ounces. I thought I could just weigh it and use 18.25 ounces in the Kahlua cake, but I'm confused. The homemade cake mix recipe also gives these ingredients in case you want to make the cake: 1 1/3 cups water, 1/2 cup vegetable oil, 3 large eggs. The Duncan Hines chocolate cake mix I have calls for something like 1 1/2 cups water, 1/2 cup butter, and 3 eggs. Since that's basically the same, should I instead use the entire homemade cake mix instead of just measuring out 18.25 ounces?

I hope that makes sense!

Also, I just recently joined and have been glued to the site since then. You all have given me so much inspiration. Thank you!
