I'll be making my first 3 tiered wedding cake in a few weeks and was wondering how far in advanced I can make it....AND what to do with it after it's ready to go...do I cover it?

You can bake your cakes on Wednesday or Thursday and they will be fine. If you have a filling that has to be refrigerated, a lot of people will put the whole cake in the fridge.
If it doesn't have a perishable filling, you can just leave it out on the counter, in a safe place.
