my big sister will begin her first school year as a high school administrator and wants to celebrate by me doing a welcome back to school cake. Which is fine and im happy to do it, but because is for her i want to do something special, even though im a newbie. So i thought of a closed book cake, so anyone can help me by explaining how to do the cake to actually look like a closed book?? the other idea that i saw here that i think may work is the pencil cake, but do you do this with a square pan or a round one? does anyone knows?? Thanks a lot for all your help.

If you use the search engine and type in how to do a book cake, or book cake I'm pretty sure loads of info will come up..someone did a thread on this not long ago and had tonnes of info in it.

Are you stacking more than one book?
