here is a recipe for cake balls:
...that recipe says 16oz frosting and 3 oz chocolate - should that be the other way around?!?!? That wouldn't work!
It's supposed to be the easiest thing in the world (like fondant) but I've been having problems with cake balls (like fondant).
I always mix in too much frosting and they end up way too soft and mushy. And I just cannot cover them and it look anything but super messy!! How in the world do you get them covered smoothly to be pretty? And how big should they be? I think I'm making them way too big. I just don't know.
start with smaller amount of frosting mixed with cake and then use your judgment on how much you need. as for the chocolate coating you can always double dip them. hope this helps
