that's how I do it. I never even use a timer anymore. when I smell it, it's done. The smallest one will be done before the bigger ones, obviously.
My kids hate me when they ask "how long?" (to cook, to bake, to microwave) and I tell them, "Until it's done".
Until you get the knack for a smeller-timer, you might set the timer for like 20 or 25 minutes and then check 'em.
