so....I did have some left over hersheys cocoa frosting (the recipe on the back label) I added a tablespoonful of corn syrup to the 1/2 cup of frosting and microwaved it for a few seconds stirred it and it made perfect drips down my cake just like I wanted the ganash to do.

I'll have to remember this for the next hurry up cake I'll need.
