I am making an electric guitar toppers for a cake and cupcakes. The topper for the cake need to stand up. How can I make the fondant stiff enough not to crack or bend?

Add lots of Tylose powder to it. Either that or mix it with gumpaste.

When I need fondant to dry quickly and real firm I add gumpaste to it. Some people add tylose powder to fondant which does about the same thing as adding gumpaste. I usually use 50% fondant and 50% gumpaste. HTH! Good luck!
