Wedding Cake /buttercream ?

want to try out debbie's buttercream recipe to use for an upcoming wedding cake next week..my question is do i need to change any of the ingredients to make the buttercream white in color? thanks.

Since it is shortening based it is white in color.

oh ok so I'll go ahead and follow the recipe, just read somewhere to be careful as some ingredients will turn the white frosting a yellowish..thanks

it's white as white can be. you will be pleased with it.

you could try sugarshacks recipe also. have made both and sugarshacks is really white and very delicious..hth.. she is on youtube .. showing how to make it.. watch the video. you will love watching it..

Butter or butter flavor crisco will turn it yellow.
