Today I decided to try a few new tips I picked up on CC, one of which was poured fondant. I melted some regal ice and added some colour paste and a tiny bit of water to get a dipping consistency. As suggested I covered the cakes with a thin coat on apricot glaze.
I dipped the first cake into the melted fondant and some of the glaze came off and very little fondant went onto the cake. Finally I gave up dipping and just spooned the melted liquid onto the cake. This looked a tiny bit better but not nearly as nice as the poured fondant cakes I have seen on here.
I want to try this again on Sunday so any help/advice would be much appreciated!
