has anyone made converse sneakers without making the shoe mold first?

I tried doing it and it didn't work so I gave in and made the the mold they came out cute they are in my pics

I didn't make the mold when I made mine. If you roll the gp so it's not too thin, it holds it's shape pretty well. I did it in stages - toe first then back (I did this in one piece instead of two). You can stuff the shoe with cotton balls to help hold the shape while drying. Let it dry 24 hrs before adding the accents.
