I know this is weird but we all get weird requests now and then. Somebody wants a tier cake covered with fondant but not buttercream at all. The only ideas comming to my mind is ganache and cream cheese, anybody has any other ideas? Thanks for your help in advance.
I have read that you can just brush the cake with heated apricot jam. (Heating things it so you can brush it on.) Then, after the jam cools, you can attach the fondant. I would use a very smooth jam, though.
I'd go with Ganache. It's the best.
