Just a basic 1/4 sheet cake. Should I freeze it? Decorate once I get there?
We will be traveling 8+ hours in August. Any ideas? Is there a recipe that does better than another?

Thanks
Merry

I usually only have about 2 hours to drive, but I just make sure I keep the car cool. I also watch to make sure the cake is not in the sun. If it is, i will move it or put something up to shade it. If it's just a sheet cake, I think it will be fine.

I had to travel a long distance with cakes in July. I froze decorated cake, then wrapped the cake box in garbage bag, filled a recycle tub with dry ice and set box on top. It was still frozen when I arrived and I then thawed the cake. Worked great. HTH
