Can anyone tell me how much marshmallow fondant I will need for a 6", 10" and 14" tiered wedding cake? I have made the recipe several times for single cakes, but wondered about the tiered cake. It would save me time if I knew in advance. Thanks.

I'm no expert and I've only made mmf twice and both times on a 12" cake (4" high). I made 1 batch (2 lbs Conf Sugar + 1 lg bag of mm) and it covered the 12" cake perfectly. Based on my experience, I would say to make 3 batches and that should be enough.

I just did one that size a couple of weeks ago. I made four batches and used part of one to cover the cake board. I had about half a batch left over, but I had to cover the top tier twice because it developed a bulge, so I peeled it off and redid it. My design used some more MMF besides what it took to cover the cake.

You can freeze the excess if you end up with too much.
