Hi folks! Sometimes I just die laughing at some of your replies to things! We have a million different senses of humor on CC... why don't we start a Quote of the Week thread and we can all share the best one you've read.

If we do, let's keep it light and funny so it will be a fun one!

My favorite Quote of the Week so far:

"Someone is always cleaning out old cupboards because they've decided to become snowbirds." - 7yyrt in the Wilton thread

I still have my dragon one in my signature. I got it from someone in a Yahoo group.

Mae West and Sophie Tucker were the two most brazen and scandalous women of their day. Here are a couple from Miss Mae. I'll catch you up with Miss Sophie later.

"It isn't what I do, but how I do it. It isn't what I say, but how I say it, and how I look when I do it and say it."

"Look your best - who said love is blind?"

"Cultivate your curves - they may be dangerous but they won't be avoided."

"Don't keep a man guessing too long - he's sure to find the answer somewhere else."

"He who hesitates is a damned fool."

"He's the kind of man a woman would have to marry to get rid of."

I LOVE and collect quotes. Some of my favorites from my collection:

"If you've done it .... it AIN'T braggin'!" .... will rogers

"Don't get your knickers in a knot ... it just makes you walk funny."

"Good things come to those who wait ... but only the things left by those who hustle." .... Abraham Lincoln

LOVE Miss Mae!! Couple from her:
"Good girls keep diaries. Bad girls dont' have time."

"When I have to choose between two evils, I like to pick the one I haven't tried before."

Those are good!!! How bout' some quotes just from CC? The other day, I can't remember who said it, but someone said,

"Those who have not the money, have not cake. So it shall be written. So it shall be done."

Love it!

One of my favorites:

"It is better to have loved and lost than be stuck with a jerk!"

I have no idea who the originator was, it was on a wooden plaque that I bought when I was getting my divorce years ago.

One of my favorites is:
Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. I was married for 24 years and have just been divorced for 3 years now. I decided to try to live by these words- and wow - what a ride!

That's a good one!

My signature in email currently says,

"If you don't have a sense of humor, you probably don't have any sense at all." I always like this one!!

When wandering through life make sure to look upon the doughnut and not the hole.

Trying to buy the whole cow for the price of a gallon of milk (or in our case)
Trying to buy the whole cake for the price of an egg.

I have always liked (and truly try to live) this one:

Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle.

My all time fav:

I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do. Helen Keller
