Hey!
I was searching online for some pictures of Carousel cakes and found a few I like. But I was just wondering if anyone has made one, or has some tips. I haven't decided what to use to make the horses, whether I use a horse chocolate mold, cookies, or plastic horses. I'd like to make as much of the cake as edible as possible.
Also, I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to support the cake?

Thanks in advance. icon_biggrin.gif

I haven't done one but both sugarshack (here on CC) and Scott Woolley have done them and I just love both cakes. You might write sugarshack and ask her...

I made my carousel horses with a chocolate lollipop mold. I just stuck the lollipop sticks down into the cake in front of the support tiers and I thought the effect was pretty good... I have a pic in my gallery.

You know I keep looking for Sugarshack's carousel cake which is on her gallery DVD but I thought it was posted here on CC -- unless I'm just overlooking it.
