I am trying to cover some dummies and my fondant keeps tearing along the top. What am I doing wrong?

asre the edges of the dummy sharp, or rouded - chamfered i think is the technical term? sanding the edges off should help.
otherwise, im nto too sure what to do - thicker fondant? coating with bc, or royal to make it softer?

Definately sand the edges to soften them up. Is your fondant stretchy enough? Is it too dry? All of these issues will cause the fondant to tear.

You might have to knead some shortening into the fondant. You can also wet your hands and knead the water into the fondant as well if it is too dry.

Thanks! Just to be safe, I willprobably do all three (sand the edges, cover with BC instead of just water, and add shortneing.) I WILL make that tha fondant work! ha ha!
