Help I need ideas for a wedding cake that I am doing. Their colors are lavendar and light green. Like a pistachio green. They have decided to have the lavendar be a ribbon around the bottom. They don't want flowers. I am just trying to come up with a design or some idea with the green.

I'm thinking small dots, either in a diamond pattern or just a few alternating lines just above the ribbon. I think about three sets of dots evenly spaced starting about 1/2 inch above the ribbon would be pretty and maybe a few dots towards the top to keep the flow.

I hope this makes sense. My brain is a bit fuzzy today. icon_smile.gif

Hi....You can do the lines of small dots like Michele is suggesting or you can do Swiss dots or scrolls.....With the lavender ribbon, anything like that would look really neat.

Do they not want any flowers anywhere on the cake? Do they want a topper? Do they want simple, elegant, over the top, ornate, etc? I would think less is better, just b/c it can become overwhelming w/ different colors like that. You might find some pictures and ask if she sees anything that gives her an idea.

Even though it's for a baby shower, this is one of my absolute favs! Would be cute w/out the birds

What about using the design from their invitations on the side in the green icing? It would be a fun way to tie the cake into their theme.
