Hi - I'm new to this, so hopefully I'm posting in the right place, but I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to the best type of cake for tiered wedding cakes. I tried a madeira cake recipe for a cake I made the other day and in my opinion, it was rather dry and bland compared to what I'm used to. So, if anyone has any suggestions to either spice up the madeira cake or use another type of cake, I would really appreciate it.
Also, before the madeira cake, I felt my cakes were too "crumby" for decorating.
