Hi there. I have been searching through posts but haven't had much luck, so I'm hoping you can help out.
I have covered a cake in black fondant, but silly me used cornstarch/powered sugar to keep it from sticking. How can I get the mixture off the black fondant? Is it possible?
the famous sharon zambito on this site. love her. and all her dvd's . shows us to take a paper towel. put some shortening on it.. rub your cake or whatever you need it on.. rub good all over.. then take a clean dry paper towel and shine it up. it works miracles... i would us a soft smooth paper towel like VIVA.. that is what i keep all the time anyway.. hth
lightly brush on any clear alcohol, I use vodka, it takes anything off
I just rub veg shortening all over the cake and wipe it off with a paper towel.
A very, very lightly damp paper towel will work too.
You could spray a little nonstick spray,(pam) on your hands, rub them together, then rub it onto the cake also.
