How do you get a deep red (like a red rose) frosting?

Thanks!

I add just a little brown powered coloring. Carefully. Too much and you will get orange!

I had this problem when I did Valentine cakes. I started with the Wilton red coloring and it wasn't nearly dark enough so I added AMERICOLOR SUPER RED to it and it was a very dark rich red. You may have to go to a cake decorating supply store to get Americolor. Good luck.
