I've volunteered to make a cake for a Hospice fundraiser auction, so it
has to to be pretty fancy! I JUST FOUND OUT about transfer paper! I
had no idea such a thing existed, but when i called to order, I found out that I'd need expedited shipping because of the hot weather, and I'd
want to order one or two more in case I flubbed up...I'd have about $35 in the cake before buying ingredients! I'd feel silly if the cake cost more to
make than it brought in at the auction.
I have my heart set on a gold design on chocolate, like this:
... so I think I have two options: one of you experts here can tell me what to use to get that gold thread OR...I may be inventing something here....I thought about doing a transfer (using acetate...thank you!)
and then wrapping it with an appropriate piece of lace, doily or stencil
and spraying it with that gold decorating stuff! Would that work?
Any help you can offer me would be great!
