Would anyone be willing to share instructions on how to make a treasure chest cake?
I will be making a cake for a Pirate Theme Party next weekend Please anyone?

If the pm's are in your outbox instead of the sentbox, then they haven't opened them yet. That might explain why they haven't answered.

It might also help if you had a specific question. Is it the lid that's puzzling you? When I did my treasure chest cake, she needed a lot of cake. The bottom of the chest was a 2 layer 11x15. The top of the chest was another 11x15, with the dome made of RKT's, on top of it's own cake board. The lid was totally separate. I put 9 dowels in the cake, 3 on each end and in the center. The dowels at the front were about 1 1/2 inches taller than the top of the cake. The middle dowels were about 3/4" taller and the ones along the back were basically level. Once on site, I just placed the lid on and then we filled with the jewels and coins.
