Hi everyone! I am in desperate need of advice. I am a bit of a beginner when it comes to cakes, but have decided I want to make my own cake for my upcoming 30th birthday. I love the topsy-turvey cakes and would love to give it a go, but is that too ambitious for a beginner? I really want my cake to look as professional as possible, so if anyone has any ideas as to what a beginner could make that doesnt look like an 'easy' cake, I would really be grateful for any advice icon_smile.gif Thanks!

There is nothing wrong with being ambitious. My first cake is a 4 tier cake--I had problems yet, I was prepared for PLAN A to PLAN Z. Stick to your topsy turvy cake.
