i am new to this site........i was hoping someone could give me alittle advice on making a guitar....My little brother wants it to look just like a real one what can i use to make the fondant have a shine?

I have seen people steam the fondant. It will make the fondant sticky but it will dry.

Search the recipe site here for" edible varnish". That should give you a shiny finish. I haven't tried it myself as yet, but I'm sure others will give you added suggestions. If the fondant is black, sometimes just brushing it with water will cause it to look shiny. Best of luck!
