Hi all! I'm making a Tiffany box cake for a friend to be delivered on Friday for a Saturday morning shower. If anyone has the Boxes and Bows DVD from Sugarshack, I'm using her instructions for the open box lid. Now, I know that she says to use gumpaste for the box lid but I couldn't get the Tiffany blue to match the fondant, so I did two box lids in Satin Ice fondant with a ton of Tylose powder mixed in. I made the two lids and they have been upside down on cake drums for a few days now. I went to check them today and the inside of the rims are all gooey! icon_confused.gif I blopped them with more cornstarch but I'm really mystified as to why that would be gooey. The lids were dry when I flipped them off the cake pan. Anyway, at this point I'm seriously considering putting them in the oven overnight with just the light on -- I've done that to dry other things in the past. Is this a good idea or am I just playing with fire? Any suggestions?? (Thanks in advance!) icon_biggrin.gif
