I have an order for 10 dozen cookies for Saturday. They want an asian symbol on each cookie. Too complicated to pipe so do I

1. Cover with fondant and airbrush -- not to keen on fondant covered cookies.

2. Royal icing and then airbrush with stencil?

3. Royal icing and then stencil with RI?

Any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated.

if it were me, I would do the RI stencil on RI.... or, could you have edible images of the symbol printed and put that on top of RI?

For me personally I would do the fondant on the cookie, then either RI or airbrush the symbol on.

Saves time on RI drying and you can get them finished that much sooner icon_smile.gif

RI is the answer. I would do the RI stencil on RI. Fondant may be quicker, but RI makes for a much better cookie!

Either RI with the RI stencil...or RI with the image printed on rice paper. I thin the 2nd alternative would be the fastest. But it's probably more expensive too.

Thanks for the advice. This is the result. Glazed then stenciled with RI. It didn't take long to do all 10 dozen.
