What do you mix with fondant for figures so they set harder? I know I've read it somewhere but now that I want to try it I can't remember!

mix 50/50 gum paste and fondant. that will give it the firmness that you need. icon_smile.gif

Do you mean full gumpaste or can you mix gum-tex powder into the fondant for the same effect?

I'm using fondant that is already colored and if I mix gumpaste into it I might have to adjust the colors??

i use tylose powder when i want a harder fondant when it dries. i just pinch with my thumb and index fingers and sprinkle it on a 2" ball of fondant. if it is still soft for me, i just add another pinch of tylose. then if its kinda "dry" i add a little crisco. hope this helps icon_wink.gif
