I have seen many cakes where stencils have been used. Just by looking at a cake, how can you copy the pattern if you don't have the specific stencil used on the cake. Also, do you buy stencils or make them? I have never used stencils, but have seen many cakes, especially wedding cakes where they have been used. I would love to try them out, just have no clue how! Thanks so much!

You can buy stencils and you can make your own. You
can buy the sheets and the tool to make your own patterns
in the sheets. Not sure where maybe country kitchen.
Haven't messed with stencils too much but it will give
you something to look for. Good Luck
