I was wondering if someone can help.....I made buttercream today (all crisco...no butter) with my new kitchenaid and it came out the consistency of marshmellow...easy to spread but kind of bubbley or holely. What did I do wrong.

You may have beat it to long sounds like to much air got into it you have to watch it when using a KA they are very strong.

You said your Kitchen Aid is new. Have you made buttercream in it before? I've read that the Kitchen Aid mixer beats faster on the same speeds as a hand-held, so you may have beaten it on too high of a speed and/or beaten it too long.
