I'm in the middle of making a batch of NFSC for this afternoon. I wanted to make a half batch since I don't need that many cookies. I halved all the ingredients but then accidentally put in the full 3 tsp. of baking powder. Do I have to even it all out and make the full batch or should I just bake them up the way they are. They're for my nieces and nephews and I'm not really sure they would notice anyway.

Can't you just double the batch and then freeze the dough you don't want to use?

Yes, I was planning to do that if I had to but just wondered what would happen if I just baked them as they were. I did not want to over work my dough when I started adding more ingredients. I guess I could make another half batch without baking powder and then mix them together at the end to avoid over-working it.
