Hi all,

I have acquired several of the Wilton Character pans. I have always baked them at 325, but by the time the middle is done, the edges are burned. Should I be baking them at 350 so they get done faster? I have this problem in the football pan and the star, and usually the 3D cruiser.

Any tips, appreciated,

Vicki

Are you using a heating core?

No, I have never thought of using one for the character pans. Does that work?

Well, I am not sure about the football pan, but I would suggest using a heating core or a flower nail, it will help the centre to bake faster.
I am not sure if increasing the temp will help, it may only make the edges burn faster...

Follow the pan instructions.Mostly 350 degrees is recommended for 30-40 min. grease the pan with shortening, not butter.Lastly, check your oven temperature with an oven thermometer.
