The recipe calls for 3.9 oz of instant pudding mix. Is that right? That is just about 3 small boxes of pudding to the one box of cake mix.

I'm making it now and it's REALLY thick. Actually it was too thick for my hand mixer to handle.

I put the 1 cup sour cream, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup veg oil, 4 eggs in it also as the recipe suggests.

Thanks.

Not sure which recipe you are using. The cak mix doctor one asks for 1 box of chocolate pudding.

I'm thinking you must have picked up the Sugar Free mix, which is a lot lighter than the normal. You only need one small box of pudding. You CAN use the SF, but again, you only need one small box.

3.9oz is one box of pudding. Did you use sugar free by any chance because that weighs less??

Thank you for your quick answers. Yes, I did use the sugar-free -- 3 BOXES OF IT -- yikes.

Actually, the store doesn't carry the instant pudding with sugar, and Publix is no small grocery store.

Thank you all very much.
