Either use chocolate fondant or paint your light brown fondant a darker brown with some wilton color thinned with vodka.

Use Chefmaster liqua gel colors. It takes very little and you get very dark colors.

I've made that color before for a purse and I just use almost the whole container of the wilton color.

If you make your own fondant, add 1/2-1 c of cocoa before the powdered sugar. If the color isn't quite dark enough, you can use some of your brown gel at that time.

Sure does icon_biggrin.gif If you use Hershey's special dark cocoa it will be almost black, if you use a lighter cocoa powder it will be more of a brown color. My personal favorite is Guittard cocoa rouge, which makes a medium brown and tastes like tootsie rolls.
