Some one help.. I've been reading a lot of posts about this infamous bettercreme. I relly want to get some and just so happens my MIL has a restaurant and orders from sysco. I read that I will probably have to buy a case. My question is does this stuff expire (well im sure it does) but how long is the shelf life? I don't have a business, so I wouldn't use it everyday. TIA

P.S. I posted this on the Bettercreme thread in the cupcake forum, but didn't get an answer. Sorry if you are reading it twice.

I have seldom used Rich's Bettercreme but have used a similar product - Presto's Pastry Pride. I'm sure the shelf life will be very similar.
It lasts in the fzr up to 1 year. In the frig about 7-10 days. On a cake (at room temp) 3 days.
Hope this info help you.

kakeladi is right, I work part-time at our local K-Mart bakery and that is the shelf life we use for Rich'sicon_smile.gif
