Has anyone use americolor red to color red velvet cake (scratch recipe)?

I have and it works great. I have also found using a box of chocolate instant pudding instead of the cocoa helps enhance the red therefore you don't have to add so much of the red color.

Just remember to use LESS of the Americolor. Most recipes are written for the less intense foodcolors at the grocery store. I then add extra liquid to compensate...
